Job title: Process Technician
Objective of the Position:
This role supports both the operational and technical aspects of injection molding. Assists and learn the setup and optimization of production systems to achieve, quality, quantity and deadline objectives through the optimal use of materials and operating resources. The ability and knowledge to perform changeovers and make appropriate minor adjustments to the machines and the process.
Main Tasks:
- Assist with set up, conversion, starting-up and optimization of production systems until approval by the authorized units. Ability to complete a changeover and minor changes to machine.
- Servicing work and preventive maintenance for production systems, peripheral equipment, mould and tools including their associated documentation.
- Record process changes, material usage, and product data accurately.
- Performance of sampling, tests and process optimizations. Monitor machine parameters and ensure adherence to established tolerances
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while gaining experience in structured problem-solving methods.
- Preform weekly cleaning activities for all machinery and equipment
- Provision of active support as part of the continuous improvement process (CIP)
- Compliance with measures aimed at ensuring occupational safety, hygiene and accident prevention
- Cooperation during the creation of training, maintenance and installation documents. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rule, operating and maintenance procedures.
- On-call service in order to ensure smooth production
- Achievement of objectives through the economical and efficient use (OEE Overall Equipment Effectiveness) of facilities and materials, OEE must be at 85%. Contribute to maintaining less than 3% scrap rate.
- 100% compliance with safety protocols, contributing to zero recordable incidents.
- Achievement of quality and quantity objectives
- Reporting of instances in which processes deviate from process specifications
- Responsibility for Moulds and Mould Maintenance
- Suspension of production in the event of risks to people and the environment
- Holding of non-compliant products
- Requesting help from third parties outside normal working hours

Requirements Profiles
Education and Training:
Technical training and/or equivalent education and further training. Require minimum three years of operational experience, hands-on-experience injection moulding. Injection moulding specialist, experience at a plastics-processing company.
Management Experience:
Specialist Knowledge:
MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word and Outlook) mandatory, ERP knowledge (proAlpha) advantageous
Experience with fast-running and multi-cavity moulds on injection moulding machines required; experience with Engel, Husky, and Netstal injection moulding machines desirable; knowledge of continuous motion systems and camera control systems advantageous; experience in area of process optimization required. 5S methodology for creating a more organized and productive workspace: Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. 5S serves as a foundation for deploying more advanced lean production tools and processes.
