Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician to support injection molding operations. This role is responsible for establishing and optimizing processing parameters for new and existing jobs while ensuring consistent product quality and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and establish processing parameters for new tools and job start-ups
- Monitor and maintain high-quality production standards
- Troubleshoot processing issues and implement improvements for efficiency and quality
- Document all processing parameters, adjustments, and machine changes
- Respond quickly to machine or process-related issues
- Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams
- Assist in mold repairs alongside Tool Technicians
- Support maintenance with press and robotic equipment repairs
- Complete all required machine setup, start-up, and adjustment documentation
- Provide input during product and tooling design to improve manufacturability
- Train and mentor junior Process Technicians as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in injection molding or plastics manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of plastic resins and processing behavior
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs
