    We are seeking a Processing Technician / Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team. This role is essential to the pre-analytical phase of laboratory testing and is responsible for receiving, labeling, processing, and preparing biological specimens for analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment while following all safety and regulatory guidelines.- 30% Phlebotomist / 70% Processing Technician

    Perform venipuncture and capillary phlebotomy on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

    Process specimens including centrifugation, aliquoting, labeling, and accessioning

    Receive and unpack specimens (blood, urine, stool, etc.) and process them in a timely manner

    Prepare specimens for in-house testing and for shipment to reference laboratories

    Coordinate specimen shipping, including wet ice and dry ice packaging

    Create blood slides as needed for neut seg specimens

    Accurately enter patient and research data into laboratory systems

    Verify specimen integrity, stability requirements, and patient information

    Perform daily reconciliation of laboratory paperwork

    Follow up with provider offices and laboratories via phone and email regarding specimen or patient information

    Maintain laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed

    Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

    Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and coworkers

    Qualifications Associate’s degree preferred with a minimum of four (4) years of healthcare experience Combination of education and experience will be considered

    Completion of a Phlebotomy training program with certification (including AIDS certificate)

    Current Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy license in the state of Washington

    Current CPR certification preferred

    Valid Washington State Driver’s License
