    Software Support Specialist

    We have a full time position available for a Support Specialist at our Houston location. As a member of our customer support team, this successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service to our customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Administers consistent quality customer support through phone calls, emails and chat services.
    • Responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to the website, software or hardware problems.
    • Communicates with coworkers staff through e-mail or verbally (discussing examples, determining cause of customer issues and monitoring resolution)
    • Schedule and convert customer to newer versions of software; provide necessary training and a smooth transition.
    • Assists customers with updates and software use.
    • Reacts to change productively and handles other essential tasks as assigned.
    • Proficient at dealing with website issues, online class debugging.

    Requirements

    • Must possess intermediate knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office, Windows, etc.)
    • Must know or be willing to learn basic troubleshooting skills for PCs and peripherals.
    • Must possess strong customer service skills; problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Possesses strong initiative to research novel customer software related inquiries, determining the best applicable resolution.
    • Demonstrated experience of delivering on commitments.
    • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Associates degree is preferred. A strong, consistent work or school history is required.

    Basic accounting or banking knowledge is a plus but not required.

    The successful candidate will have a proven ability to be self-motivated and perform effectively under minimum supervision. This position requires a person who takes pride in the commitment to their customers while exercising a high degree of professionalism.
