Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree: A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree conferred or approved by an accredited U.S. college or university based on a 4- year course of study. Simply being enrolled and working toward a degree does not meet the qualification standard . Proposed candidates must furnish transcripts showing completion of degree requirements to the COR for review.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of business, information management, contracting, or law is preferred.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, the Government will accept six (6) years of experience in the Federal procurement or private sector.
- 4 years of providing procurement or contracting support to a Federal Government agency or entity.
- Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Suite of software applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Outlook) to create and maintain documents and communications.
- Documented ability to maintain and practice operational security (OPSEC) in the performance of daily duties and to report OPSEC issues or concerns.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply procurement and transparency regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and/or other similar agency-specific procurement and transparency regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of analytical and qualitative techniques sufficient to identify, evaluate, and propose the use of appropriate strategies and solutions to resolve complex or interrelated FOIA problems and issues.
- Experience reviewing contract files or other government documentation.
- Experience developing documentation required to respond to FOIA requests.
- Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills plus strong analytical and organizational skills and abilities.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing spreadsheets and documents in various formats such as those created and maintained in Microsoft Office products.
- Documented ability to apply different strategies when analyzing information to make reasonable inferences or draw well-supported conclusions.
- Experience managing procurement sensitive, law enforcement sensitive, or other secure information is preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience using government contract-writing software, such as PRISM, is preferred.
- Employment is contingent upon submission and verification of college transcripts and a Public Trust background check.
