    ** Construction Project Engineer (Procurement Focus)**

    ** Location:** Surprise, Arizona (In-Office Position)

    ** Overview**

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer with a strong emphasis on procurement and construction administration to support our luxury residential and commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction office environment—managing materials, permits, and inspections while maintaining precision in documentation and communication.

    This is an in-office position based in Surprise, Arizona. Candidates must be able to commute to the office daily.

    Key Responsibilities

    • ** Procurement Management**
    • * Lead the procurement of materials, finishes, fixtures, and supplies for high-end luxury homes, remodels, and select commercial projects.
      
      • Prepare and process purchase orders, confirm lead times, and manage vendor and supplier relationships.
      • Maintain a detailed procurement ledger tracking order status, deliveries, and material distribution across active projects.
      • Review and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and received materials.
    • ** Permitting & Inspections**
    • * Prepare and ****submit construction permits**** with local cities, counties, and state agencies.
      
      • ** Track and follow up** diligently on permits to ensure timely approvals and prevent delays.
      • ** Schedule, confirm, and document inspections** with municipalities at all project milestones.
      • Coordinate directly with field staff, superintendents, and city officials to ensure compliance and readiness for inspections.
    • ** Construction Office Coordination**
    • * Act as the communication hub between the project management, design, and field teams regarding materials, deliveries, and approvals.
      
      • Manage project documentation, submittals, RFIs, inspection reports, and permit records.
      • Maintain accurate, organized digital and physical files for each project.
      • Support multiple active projects by handling all administrative and logistical office functions related to construction operations.
    • ** General Support**
    • * Anticipate and resolve procurement or scheduling issues quickly and efficiently.
      
      • Assist with job cost tracking, reporting, and materials budgeting.
      • Conduct occasional site visits to confirm deliveries, verify product condition, and ensure installation readiness.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
    • 2+ years of experience in construction procurement, permitting, or project coordination
    • Strong knowledge of luxury residential construction materials, finishes, and vendors
    • Familiarity with municipal permitting and inspection processes across Arizona jurisdictions
    • Excellent organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project management or procurement software
    • ** Real Estate License preferred but not required**
    • ** Must be able to work in-office daily in Surprise, Arizon**
