Position Overview

The Procurement Manager – Construction leads the commercial execution of construction contracts, translating defined project requirements into enforceable contractual and financial outcomes. This role works closely with Construction and Preconstruction teams to ensure agreements are commercially sound, contractually aligned, and executed within established procurement and approval frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial execution of construction contracts from defined scope through execution readiness, including contract negotiation, pricing structures, and commercial terms
• Translate project scope into clear, enforceable Statements of Work aligned with operational and contractual requirements
• Negotiate complex agreements including MSAs, MNDAs, and SOWs using vendor or company contract templates
• Structure commercial terms including inclusions, exclusions, cost drivers, pricing frameworks, and risk allocation
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks in partnership with Legal, Risk, and other internal stakeholders
• Prepare and route agreements through established internal approval and signature workflows
• Partner with Construction and Preconstruction teams on vendor evaluations, proposal analysis, and commercial decision-making
• Provide commercial guidance throughout vendor engagement and proposal review
• Ensure adherence to procurement templates, contracting standards, and established approval processes
• Maintain awareness of vendor capabilities, market conditions, and pricing trends to support sourcing and vendor strategies
• Support contract lifecycle activities through execution readiness and ensure proper documentation within internal systems

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in construction procurement, preconstruction, or commercial contracting
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost drivers, commercial terms, and risk allocation
• Proven experience negotiating complex agreements, including MSAs and SOWs
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Construction, and Operations teams
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven construction environment
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
