    Location: Rochester, NY

    Position Summary

    The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of components required for custom manufacturing projects. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production schedules and controlling project costs.

    Responsibilities

    • Source materials, components, and services • Issue and manage purchase orders • Develop and maintain supplier relationships • Negotiate pricing and lead times • Monitor inventory levels and material requirements • Coordinate closely with warehouse operations, engineering, production, and project management teams • Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues • Track procurement metrics and cost-saving initiatives • Support production planning and scheduling activities

    Required Qualifications

    • 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience • Manufacturing environment experience • Strong organizational and analytical skills • Experience working with vendors and suppliers • Proficiency with Google Suite & Monday, or ability to learn quickly

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience purchasing construction materials, fabricated components, electrical components, or industrial equipment • Experience with inventory management systems • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
