    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist with MRO experience to join our team at our FAA Part 145 MRO Repair Station. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing parts, materials, and services to support aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations in compliance with FAA regulations, company quality standards, and operational needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Procure aircraft parts, components, materials, tools, and services in support of MRO operations.
    • Ensure all procured items meet FAA, EASA, and company airworthiness requirements, including traceability and documentation (8130, COCs, etc.).
    • Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts, and delivery schedules.
    • Coordinate with maintenance planners, engineers, and quality assurance to ensure timely and accurate supply of required parts.
    • Track open purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and follow up on backorders or discrepancies.
    • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers in collaboration with Quality and Compliance teams.
    • Review and reconcile supplier invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
    • Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders for critical items based on min/max thresholds.
    • Ensure compliance with Part 145 regulatory requirements, AS9110/ISO quality standards, and internal procurement procedures.
    • Assist with audits (FAA, customer, internal) by providing procurement records and documentation as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Aviation Management preferred.
    • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in aviation procurement, preferably in a Part 145 repair station environment.
    • Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA documentation requirements (8130, COC, dual release).
    • Familiarity with aircraft parts, ATA chapters, and component nomenclature.
    • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems (Quantum Control preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment with high attention to detail.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • AS9110 or ISO 9001 quality system experience.
    • Experience with rotable, expendable, and consumable parts management.
    • A&P license or technical background in aircraft maintenance is a plus.
