    Job Description: Procurement Specialist

    Location: Georgia - Locals only Work Type: Hybrid (Onsite 1–2 days/week as required)

    Position Summary

    The Procurement Specialist will support contract administration and procurement operations within GDOT’s procurement department. This role is responsible for managing procurement-related projects, monitoring contract activities, processing routine administrative tasks, and ensuring timely review of contract modifications, renewals, and expiration dates.

    The ideal candidate will have prior procurement experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced government environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and support contract administration activities for multiple procurement projects.

    Review contract changes, amendments, renewals, and upcoming expiration dates.

    Process procurement documentation and maintain accurate contract records.

    Coordinate with internal departments and procurement staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

    Track procurement activities, deadlines, and project deliverables.

    Assist with reporting, documentation, and administrative support functions.

    Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, communication, and data management.

    Learn and adapt to internal procurement systems and processes.

    Required Qualifications

    3+ years of proven work experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

    Experience in procurement, contract administration, or purchasing support.

    Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

    Ability to quickly learn new systems and business processes.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience working in government or public sector procurement environments.

    Program or project management experience related to procurement operations.

    Familiarity with contract lifecycle management processes.
