REPORTS TO: Family Engagement & Student Recruitment Manager

START DATE: 5/15/20

Prodeo Academy seeks 10-hour/week bi-lingual community outreach intern to support school engagements. The ideal candidate would have an interest in growing their community engagement and project management skills, all while helping to conduct outreach efforts to families interested in Prodeo Academy. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in developing methods to engage community members with Prodeo Academy

• Maintain and build partnerships• Attend community events with staff provide refuge information and assist with craft projects and activities

• Develop professional skills and interests• Explore various career paths within project management and community engagement.

REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate:

• Is able to work with a team and independently

• Has enthusiasm for working outside; positive attitude

• Is willing to learn new skills and cultural competencies

• Is willing to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends

• Has experience working with children and the public

• Is fluent in Spanish, Somali, Karenni, or Kayah

COMPENSATION

Compensation for this role is $12/hour.
