    A leader in specialized products for the agriculture and food processing industries seeks a Finance Manager to join their team based in the Los Angeles area. The Finance Manager will demonstrate strong collaboration skills, financial aptitude, excellent business intuition, and the capability to work at multiple levels, including high level strategy and day-to-day financial details. The successful candidate must effectively partner with all stakeholders and drive & deliver finance objectives set by the business.

    We seek experience with SAP, and a strong background in finance management and experience in the agriculture, food processing, fresh produce, or general manufacturing sectors.  Additionally, candidates with a CPA or MBA strongly desired.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assume all facets of financial role for the North American entity, combining domestic and export activities
    • Handle base functions: budgeting/reporting, fixed assets, inventory & cost accounting, A/R & credit, treasury
    • Coordinate with CFO and parent company colleagues in India on financing and tax
    • Apply and upgrade core policies in support of asset integrity protection, risk control, and cost optimization
    • Contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
    • To lead, develop and provide strategic financial guidance to the US Business Team
    • Responsible for quarterly financial review by auditors and year end audit
    • Help to upgrade current systems and reporting activities for US Business Team
    • Work with Tax consultants to provide information on data requirements for Sales & Use tax and Federal & State Corporate tax returns.

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • CPA/ MBA Finance with 10+ years of relevant experience in similar business partner-oriented roles, focused on management accounting / Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft applications, SAP and Business Warehouse tools
    • Ability to multi-task and to manage both in short-term and longer-term project mode
    • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, self-starter, ability to manage projects
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines

    This is an office based position in a manufacturing facility.  Work from home not an option.
