Job Description
We are looking for a producer to join our MSNBC Audio Unit. This role will work across multiple podcasts and projects. The producer's primary role will be to support the unit with a combination of editorial roles (fact checking, cutting tape, and research) and some administrative tasks (such as booking studios and updating show websites). This producer will be a utility player, pivoting to tasks across the unit as needed. Sometimes they will work on specific series; other times they will serve as producing partners on shows that could use an extra hand. This person will know how to edit audio as well as video. Editorially, the producer should have an interest in news and politics, an understanding of what makes a strong chat show, and a basic understanding of narrative storytelling. Adherence to journalistic best practices is a must.

Salary range: $93,000 - $110,000.
