Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Must have leadership qualities, be detail oriented, organized and able to handle intense deadline pressure
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, prioritize decisions, and successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently in a high pressure, breaking news environment
- Knowledge of non-linear editing and shooting workflow
- Connect the viewers & newscast with social media, surveys, opinions, calls, etc
- News judgment with solid ethical decision process
- Excellent Spanish, reading, writing and speaking
- Strong English, reading, writing and speaking
- Ability to perform under tight time deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be willing to work long hours, varying shifts (including nights and weekends) and report to work in emergencies depending upon news coverage when necessary
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be willing to work in Miami and travel as needed for special assignments
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Additional Requirements:
- Required On-Site : This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
