Job Description
NBC News Digital Video Productions is seeking a journalist to produce content for NBC News’ digital app with a focus on its new subscription product. We’re looking for a news junkie who lives across a diverse range of news platforms, has strong editorial judgment, and can produce content in a variety of formats, with a focus on live content.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with anchors and correspondents across their beats and expertise, and identifying key moments in the news cycle to leverage NBC News journalists to create rich and bespoke live content for subscribers.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented. This candidate must be able to spot opportunities in the news cycle to create distinct, highly compelling, and insightful content for subscribers, leveraging our on-camera anchors and correspondents. This candidate must be an excellent communicator and cross-team collaborator. They should have a strong understanding of the formats and types of content that resonate with audiences and how to apply them to the stories we cover. If you are someone who likes to think outside the box, is nimble, and wants to be at the forefront of innovating the news, then this role could be for you.
This role is based in New York and is represented by the News Guild – NY CWA.

Salary range : $93,000 - $120,000
