    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Design Engineer V to lead the design and development of next-generation suppressor systems. This senior-level role requires deep technical expertise in mechanical design, fluid dynamics, materials, and a strong foundation in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who excels in communication, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design and development of suppressors and related components from concept through production.
    • Create and manage detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring adherence to drafting standards and GD&T practices.
    • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles for both machining and additive manufacturing (3D printing).
    • Conduct simulations and analyses, including fluid dynamics, thermal, and structural evaluations, to optimize performance.
    • Utilize material science knowledge to select appropriate metals, alloys, and coatings for durability, weight, and thermal resistance.
    • Lead rapid prototyping efforts and coordinate testing for performance, durability, and compliance.
    • Apply statistical methods to analyze test data and drive design improvements.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and compliance teams to ensure product readiness and regulatory adherence (ATF, ITAR).
    • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in product design, preferably in the firearms, defense, or aerospace industries.
    • Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
    • Strong background in material science, fluid dynamics, and coatings.
    • Proven experience with machining and 3D printing.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and mentor engineering teams.
    • Excellent communication, project management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
    • Highly adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Hands-on experience with firearms and suppressor systems.
    • Familiarity with ballistics, internal gas dynamics, and sound attenuation.
    • Working knowledge and application of MIL-SPEC and NATO D14 standards.
    • Experience with patent development.
