    ROLE DESCRIPTION:

    As part of the Crowe Product Design Team, you have a passion and curiosity about how software should be designed, developed, and shipped. You understand the importance of teamwork, you want to learn something new every day, and aren’t afraid to ask questions. You like challenges and feel like you can come up with creative solutions by understanding the environment so that you can make informed decisions. You’re an individual that isn’t okay with “good enough”. 

    EXAMPLE OF PROJECTS:

    • Deliver professional-quality visual assets for in-product use 

    • Assist in the design of UI flows and features for products 

    • Proactively solicit feedback from stakeholders and the Product Design team to improve work deliverables 

    • Participate in team/firm-wide initiatives, design critiques, and collaboration sessions 

    • Conduct usability and accessibility research and assessments  

    • Perform UI audits and reports and present the findings 

    • Collaborate to enhance Crowe’s Design System and prioritize what should be new features 

    • Foster and facilitate an online community to promote, learn, and coach all things Product Design  

    • Weekly projects and challenges to build out your resume and portfolio

      

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:

    • Experience in Product Thinking (UX), Visual Design (UI), and Interaction Design (IxD) 

    • Proficiency in the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and/or high-fidelity mockups 

    • Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar visual design software 

    • Familiarity with XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar layout or prototyping software 

    • Self-motivated and able to collaborate with a diverse set of people from many disciplines 

    • A passion for designing software with excellence  

    • Understanding of composition, balance, symmetry, and white space 

    • Experience with and/or understanding of motion, iconography, front-end web development

     

    EDUCATION:

    We are seeking college sophomore or junior level students completing their studies and pursuing academic degrees in one of the following preferred majors (or similar background):

    • Graphic design

    • Human-computer interaction

    • Statistics or applied statistics

    • Computer science

    • Information systems 

    • A portfolio demonstrating experience designing user interfaces, web experiences, or other design assets to share with the team is welcome
