Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Product Design Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and refining the design concepts for our range of products, ensuring they meet safety standards, customer needs, and industry regulations. Your expertise will help shape the future of our product line, combining technical proficiency with creative problem-solving to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design concepts and technical drawings for hurricane shutters, windows, doors, sunrooms, and screen rooms using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
• Incorporate safety, durability, and regulatory requirements into all designs.
• Create prototypes and assist in testing new products and design modifications.
• Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform design improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, revisions, and production processes.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technological advancements to innovate and improve product offerings.
• Assist in troubleshooting design issues during production and provide ongoing support for product development.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in product design, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to construction and building products.
