All dairy products are domestically sourced in South Korea, with milk fat content raised to as much as 17 percent to achieve a rich, indulgent flavor profile. The brand further differentiates itself by reducing air content to an average of 40 percent—about half that of conventional ice creams—resulting in a luxuriously dense and satisfying texture.
As Better Scoop Creamery expands its global presence, it is now seeking talent in the United States to help refine and elevate its product portfolio.
Position Overview:
The Product Development Engineer will play a critical role in advancing Better Scoop Creamery’s mission of delivering world-class frozen desserts. This position is focused on refining and optimizing the company’s existing 20 flavors, ensuring they not only meet but exceed global standards for taste, texture, and overall quality.
A key responsibility of this role will be establishing and managing a U.S.-based R&D laboratory, including the design, setup, and operation of the facility to support product testing, sensory evaluation, and formulation improvements. Working from the U.S., you will serve as a bridge between international consumer trends and the brand’s R&D team in South Korea. You will leverage your expertise to enhance the existing flavors, introduce technical innovations, and ensure consistency with the brand’s premium positioning.
This is an opportunity to directly influence the sensory experience of a premium product line while shaping the foundation for the company’s U.S.-based innovation capabilities. The successful candidate will conduct flavor and texture benchmarking, provide technical recommendations, and collaborate closely with cross-cultural teams to maintain alignment with global standards.
