    Overview
    A growing consumer products company is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Senior Product Development Manager to lead front-end product development across consumer goods, with a focus on small kitchen appliances.

    This role is responsible for identifying what products should be brought to market, why they will succeed, and how they should be positioned. You will play a key role in shaping product direction and driving category growth through data, trends, and strong market intuition.

    The Ideal Candidate

    • 5+ years of experience in product development, merchandising, buying, or product management within consumer goods

    • Proven ability to identify product opportunities and bring successful products to market

    • Strong understanding of trends and innovation within small kitchen appliances

    • Highly analytical with strong instincts for consumer demand and market gaps

    • Commercial mindset with understanding of pricing, margins, and positioning

    • Confident, self-directed, and comfortable making decisions with ownership

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own product strategy and roadmap across consumer goods categories, with emphasis on small kitchen appliances

    • Identify new product opportunities through market research, trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking

    • Define product concepts, feature sets, and pricing strategy based on data and consumer insight

    • Lead assortment planning and category direction to drive growth and profitability

    • Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to refine product decisions

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life

    • Contribute to go-to-market strategy in collaboration with marketing and sales

    • Continuously optimize product mix based on performance and insights

    Qualifications / Must-Haves

    • 5+ years of relevant experience in consumer goods (small kitchen appliances or consumer electronics)

    • Experience owning or significantly influencing product or category decisions

    • Strong understanding of retail and/or e-commerce environments (Amazon, big-box, DTC)

    • Data-driven with experience using insights to guide product direction

    • Ability to balance innovation with commercial viability

    • Background in private label

    • Exposure to major retail channels (e.g., Walmart, Target, Amazon)

    • Advanced Excel skills
