An established wellness company with a rich legacy in dietary supplement innovation is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead formulation and new product initiatives. This role is ideal for a scientific professional with a passion for health and experience developing consumer wellness products across delivery formats such as capsules, powders, tablets, gummies, and more.

Overview:
The Product Development Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, QA/QC, and Procurement teams to design and commercialize custom formulations. Responsibilities span hands-on formulation, evaluating raw materials, authoring technical documentation, and managing product development timelines and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead benchtop formulation and compounding of new dietary supplement products

• Evaluate raw materials and support spec creation and documentation

• Drive innovation across product pipeline using Agile/Lean tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

• Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth transition from R&D to production

• Maintain documentation and compliance with cGMP, OSHA, and internal SOPs

• Support cross-functional teams with technical input and regulatory awareness

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in formulation within supplements, food, or related industry

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for dietary supplements (FDA, cGMP)

• Skilled in Microsoft Office and general documentation tools

• Hands-on experience with lab-scale equipment and formulation best practices
