Product Development Manager (Private Label)
New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
$115K – $125K+ KPI based bonus
Position Overview
A leading consumer electronics and creative technology retailer is seeking a Private Label Product Manager to own the full lifecycle of private-label product lines—from ideation and development through launch and lifecycle management. This role drives product strategy, brand positioning, profitability, and category growth across multiple consumer electronics and outdoor product categories.
The Product Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, inventory, vendors, and executive leadership while managing product development with manufacturing partners in Asia. Success in this role requires strong product development expertise, market trend awareness, and ownership of product performance.

Key Responsibilities
Own Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) from ideation through end-of-life
Develop brand strategies, product roadmaps, and financial projections
Lead New Product Planning (NPP) and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend analysis to guide product development
Manage vendor relationships, sourcing, and manufacturing partnerships
Oversee quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and supply chain coordination
Develop pricing models, positioning strategies, and product messaging
Collaborate with marketing on packaging, promotions, and product launches
Monitor sales, margin performance, and category penetration
Work with inventory teams to resolve capacity, purchasing, and delivery issues
Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and portfolio optimization reviews
Manage Amazon Marketplace (Seller Central), including listing optimization and A+ content
Mentor junior product managers or assistants
Qualifications & Must-Haves
5+ years of product management, product development, or product marketing experience
Experience developing hard goods in consumer electronics or related categories
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes in Asia
Experience with Amazon Marketplace / Seller Central
Proven ability to manage cross-functional product development projects
Strong analytical skills with experience in pricing, competitive analysis, and forecasting
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/database systems
Ability to identify market trends and consumer behavior insights
