    Job Overview:

    We’re hiring a Product Engineer, reporting to the Director of Engineering, with strong skills in Networking, Compute, Data Storage, and Microsoft 365, plus a passion for automation and managing compute infrastructure across hardware and datacenters. At Cortavo, you’ll be a key platform management expert, ensuring smooth internal engineering operations while owning & developing internal tools & systems, provisioning applications, and system optimization and continually improving Cortavo’s full product offering. You’ll drive cutting-edge tech integration, scale innovations, and shape a reliability roadmap for efficiency across on-premise, data center, and cloud environments.

    Accountabilities:

    Responsibilities:

    Tooling Improvement (Product Enablement)

    Evaluate and Optimize technology stack to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

    Serve as the subject-matter-expert for all Cortavo tools (internal and external), making sure we’ve got the best and use them fully.

    Identify gaps in tooling and processes, and translate them into roadmap items, architectural improvements, or productized capabilities.

    Define and maintain technical standards, operational best practices, and documentation that support repeatable, high-quality delivery.

    Maintain accurate, current, and accessible technical documentation, conduct internal and external product demos, and ensure value of products can be demonstrated.

    Stay on top of new tech and methods so the team’s always using the sharpest tools and tactics.

    Support PMO, pre-sales, and go-to-market efforts by contributing to solution design, validating technical fit, and advising leadership on buyer alignment.

    Platform Development and Management

    Administer internal tools, manage access controls, and maintain comprehensive documentation for seamless operations.

    Govern application change management, balancing innovation velocity with platform stability and risk management.

    Drive platform security and compliance initiatives, ensuring infrastructure meets or exceeds SOC 2 and CMMC requirements by design.

    Collaborate with Engineering Manager on Cortavo’s core internal infrastructure(network, servers, and data) ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

    Product Ownership

    Develop a product roadmap and track progress made through progress updates and

    quarterly delivery presentations with leadership

    Building solutions by collaborating with the many Cortavo teams to define, architect,

    and construct our core offering from the ground up.

    Come up with tech solutions and products ready to roll out for new Cortavo services,

    ensuring the offering has the best possible solution for support.

    Cultivating partner relationships to identify and shape future product needs, informing

    our roadmap and feature development.

    Required Skills:

    Minimum 7 years of IT systems engineering experience

    Minimum 4 years of IT platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles

    Strong ability to partner with operations stakeholders to define platform needs and drive

    adoption

    Experience establishing platform governance, compliance standards, and security

    controls

    Expert knowledge of Networking and Firewalls, particularly with Cisco Meraki

    Expert knowledge in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, and Microsoft

    Endpoint Manager (Intune)

    Proficiency with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog)

    Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible

    Proficiency in Microsoft Server environments

    Expertise in VMware ESXi and vSphere

    Working knowledge of API and web technologies (REST, GraphQL, JavaScript)

    Preferred Skills:

    Comfortable with TypeScript and Node.js or similar back-end ecosystem

    Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS) Experience

    CI/CD Pipeline Experience

    Cyber Security Experience
