    The Opportunity:

Sani-Matic is looking for an engineer who wants to build something. The Product Engineer for Hygienic Component Solutions is not a role about maintaining a mature product line. It is about taking a respected brand with deep sanitary engineering expertise and expanding it into new markets, most immediately the Industrial Data Center segment. Sani-Matic already has the technical foundation. What they need is someone with the product development experience, the hands-on instincts, and the collaborative drive to take ideas and turn them into products that ship.

Day-to-day, you will work closely with the Product Development and Project Management teams, guiding designers through development cycles, running tests in Sani-Matic's on-site Training Lab, reviewing 3D designs, and engaging directly with customers and channel partners. The leadership team is present and supportive. The role rewards self-starters who can navigate new territory with confidence and communicate clearly across technical and commercial teams.

    Why Sani-Matic?

    • Pioneer Work: Sani-Matic is actively expanding its Hygienic Component Solutions into the Data Center filtration and strainer market. This is not a maintenance role. You are on the front edge of bringing new products to a fast-growing industry, working alongside strategic partners and shaping what the product line becomes.
    • Hands-On Engineering: You are not a desk engineer. This role puts you in the lab testing components, reviewing 3D designs with the engineering team, and traveling to customer facilities. If you want a role where you see your work become a real product that ships to real customers, this is it.
    • Culture That Invests in You: Sani-Matic is a 2025 Top Workplace (Wisconsin State Journal and Top Workplaces USA). The company is built around 30 Fundamentals that prioritize people, learning, and doing great work. Leadership is accessible, the culture rewards initiative, and there is genuine room to grow.
    • Competitive Compensation: Sani-Matic offers a highly competitive base salary benchmarked to the market, with clear pathways for internal growth and advancement as the HCS product line expands. Your impact here is visible and your contributions are recognized.
    • Full Benefits Package: Comprehensive health coverage with both HSA and Traditional plan options, plus dental, vision, flexible spending, EAP, and ID protection. Company-paid short-term and long-term disability, company-paid life insurance, and a robust 401(k) with company match.

    The Company:

Sani-Matic has been engineering and manufacturing sanitary process cleaning solutions since 1943. Based in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, the company serves food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, nutraceutical, and industrial sectors with a full line of CIP systems, COP parts washers, spray devices, strainers, and hygienic components. With approximately 200 employees at its Sun Prairie headquarters and over 100 employees at its Douglas Machine Corps. site in Clearwater, FL and revenues forecasted over $100M, Sani-Matic punches well above its size in terms of engineering depth and industry reputation.

The company recently opened a state-of-the-art 93,500 square-foot manufacturing and office facility in Sun Prairie, consolidating operations and building dedicated spaces for Factory Acceptance Testing, a Knowledge Center, and a hands-on Training Lab. Owner Hamilton Robinson continues to invest actively in Sani-Matic's long-term growth and product development capacity.

The Hygienic Component Solutions (HCS) division is the product catalog arm of the business, covering 3-A authorized strainers, spray devices, tank components, and filtration solutions. The division is now expanding into the Industrial Data Center market, working with major fluid management partnerships to bring hygienic-grade strainer and filtration products to a new and growing customer base. This role sits at the center of that expansion.

What You'll bring to the role:

    • Product Development Leadership: You take ideas from concept through launch: engineering, design review, drafting, and hands-on testing. You guide designers and work closely with the Product Development and Project Management teams to bring new HCS products to market.
    • Customer & Partner Engagement: You translate Voice of Customer insights into actionable product improvements. This means traveling with sales, participating in customer testing, and developing solutions alongside OEMs, engineering firms, and strategic business partners.
    • 3D Design Collaboration: You work directly with designers in SolidWorks and AutoCAD at minimum to review, provide input, and release designs. Ideally you can develop and tweak designs yourself, keeping product development moving without bottlenecks.
    • Data Center Market Expansions: Sani-Matic is moving into the strainer and filtration space for Data Centers. You bring the technical credibility to evaluate, develop, and validate products for this emerging segment, working with strategic channel partners.
    • Testing & Validation: You perform hands-on testing in Sani-Matic's Training Lab, conduct lab evaluations of components, and inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet engineering and regulatory standards including ASME, ASME BPE, 3-A, and FDA requirements.
    • Cross-Functional Influence: This role touches every department in the company. You provide engineering support to sales, marketing, and production teams, communicate regularly with vendors, and help drive continuous improvement across product performance, quality, and cost.

  • Compensation
    $115,000 per year
