    Job Description

    The Microvellum Product Engineer II plays a critical role in developing dynamic and intuitive product libraries (cabinetry, furniture, fixtures, closets, and more) that power our software solutions.

    This role blends engineering precision, technical creativity, and industry expertise to design, test, and maintain intelligent product data that enables clients to move seamlessly from design to manufacturing.

    You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and Client Services teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and usability, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

    In alignment with INNERGY standards, this role works cross-functionally to ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations and internal policies.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Product Library Development

    • Create, test, maintain, and expand intelligent product libraries within Microvellum software.
    • Engineer product data for cabinets, fixtures, closets, office furniture, and related solutions.
    • Integrate hardware according to manufacturer specifications.
    • Develop rendered help images and documentation to support client usability.

    Testing & Quality Assurance

    • Write and execute structured test scripts.
    • Identify data or software improvement opportunities.
    • Troubleshoot issues related to library functionality and manufacturing outputs.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with Software Developers and Product teams to enhance system capabilities.
    • Collaborate with technicians and service providers to resolve data-related issues.
    • Participate in Agile development workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Knowledge Sharing & Enablement

    • Develop help documentation, videos, and live training materials.
    • Support internal and external stakeholders with best practices.
    • Act as a subject matter expert in product engineering and library architecture.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of relevant experience in product engineering, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing technology.
    • Demonstrable experience with AutoCAD and Microvellum software preferred.
    • Strong understanding of woodworking manufacturing processes and cabinet construction.
    • Proficiency with Excel formulas and structured workbook logic.
    • Working knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and mathematical modeling principles.
    • Experience with 3D CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Rhino, or SolidWorks.
    • Familiarity with Agile development practices.
    • Knowledge of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) preferred.
    • Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance best practices (where applicable to role scope).
