Job Title: Engineer I, Product

Reports to: Chief Engineer
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Engineer I, Product is responsible for assisting with activities involving Loram products, including all technical aspects of the products from conceptual design through validation. This role assists the Chief Engineering department to develop, market, and support Loram products. This role is also responsible for supporting development of equipment design and generating equipment proposals under the direction of a senior engineer or Chief Engineer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Experience: 0+ years of experience supporting development of equipment design and generating equipment proposals.
Licenses/Certifications: Obtain and maintain railroad safety training and credentials
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 0+ years’ experience with Heavy Equipment Design and product line development with multi-discipline engineering integration. Experience with proposal generation, project scoping and definition, cost estimation.
Licenses/Certification: EIT

Compensation:
Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation.
