Job Description

This position will be within the GRIE Brake Rotor group, Engineering Department. The intern would assist GRIE engineering team with the job functions to support Brake Rotor /Drum projects.

Pay range: $14 - 17 per hour

** Principle Responsibilities**

• Check and go through engineering drawings to retrieve /calculate attributes of Brake Surface Width, Mounting Surface Diameter, and Rib Pattern types to add into product database /attribute file. Add missing data on some attributes.
• Make 3D models from old 2D drawings for Graphical Department to create 360° video clips.
• Assist in taking pictures of incoming OE rotors and measuring their weight. Help with staging them on the pallet to be sent out to India for development.
• Update engineering documents (NPI Master, Catalog Tooling, etc.).

Qualifications

** Competencies**

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in 3D modeling, preferring Creo (Pro/E).
• Ability of attention to details.
• Well organized.
• Good team working.

Education/Experience:

• College /University students (at least Sophomore) in Engineering or related majors. Mechanical Engineering is plus.
• 1 year of 3D modeling experience in mechanical product design.
