About the Role
We’re looking for a product leader to define and ship AI-driven solutions that materially improve how public agencies operate. This is ideal for a senior product manager ready to own outcomes beyond engagement—think P&L responsibility, not just feature metrics.
Everyone here uses AI daily . You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable building software at some level of abstraction and prototyping with AI tools.
If you “feel the AGI” wave—see where the tech is heading and want to harness it—you’ll fit right in. We’re building AI-native workflows where agents augment small teams, accelerating development and lowering costs. With models getting cheaper and more capable, we move fast to create lean, scalable products that make government more effective.
What You’ll Do
Own strategy and roadmap for AI products serving public sector customers.
Translate research and policy constraints into clear, shippable product slices.
Prototype with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to validate concepts quickly.
Run experiments, measure business impact, and manage P&L for your area.
Partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market to deliver on outcomes.
Build trusted relationships with state/local stakeholders; gather feedback, close loops, and drive adoption.
What We’re Looking For
Mindset: High agency, high velocity, strong work ethic; comfortable with ambiguity.
Experience: Early-stage startup background; ideally 6+ years in product (or operations/engineering with product ownership).
AI Native: You prototype with AI, understand capabilities/limits, and design workflows around them.
Customer Fluency: Strong relationship skills with public sector customers; able to navigate constraints and earn trust.
Tooling: Extensive experience with Claude Code strongly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years in operations, engineering, or product, with end-to-end ownership.
2+ years as a PM or product-minded engineer at a VC-backed early-stage (Seed–Series B) SaaS startup.
Hands-on experience building or deploying software for state and local governments.
Bachelor’s degree .
Excellent cross-functional communication; comfortable running discovery, specifying requirements, and driving to launch.
Nice to Have
Prior P&L ownership or measurable business accountability.
Previous success rolling out AI-assisted developer or operator workflows.
Logistics
Location: NYC, onsite 5 days/week.
Work authorization: U.S. citizen.
