Product Manager / Implementation Lead
New Jersey (Hybrid – onsite initially)
$120,000–$150,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable, execution-driven Product Manager / Implementation Lead to own the development, implementation, and scaling of a software-enabled financial wellness platform. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, technical execution, and systems design.
This is not a traditional product role. It requires someone who can translate vision into working systems, manage technical teams without being hands-on in code, and push the product forward with discipline and clarity. The role functions as a near-partner to the founder and is critical to bringing a behavior-driven product to market at scale.
This is an opportunity for someone who thrives behind the scenes, takes pride in execution, and builds systems that quietly but powerfully work.
The Ideal Candidate:
Is intrinsically motivated and driven by internal standards of excellence
Takes pride in getting the work done—not in recognition or visibility
Does not seek the limelight; prefers impact over attention
Has the confidence and emotional intelligence to push back thoughtfully
Is thick-skinned, grounded, and comfortable working with strong personalities
Thinks in systems and processes, not just features
Enjoys simplifying complexity and making products intuitive
Understands how behavior, data, and technology intersect
Thrives in high-ownership, low-ego environments
Key Responsibilities:
Own the product roadmap from MVP through scalable platform development
Translate behavioral finance concepts into clear, functional software features
Oversee product dashboards, data inputs, and user experience simplification
Identify, prioritize, and implement automation and AI opportunities
Lead implementation of systems, workflows, and internal processes
Evaluate and refine backend architecture and data points
Manage and coordinate developers and technical vendors
Hire and oversee team members as the product and company scale
Act as a strategic thought partner to the founder
Push back when necessary to protect product integrity and execution quality
Ensure systems support behavior change—not just data tracking
Qualifications and Must-Haves:
Experience in product management, implementation leadership, or product-operations roles
Strong technical fluency; able to lead engineers and technical vendors confidently
Proven experience managing development teams or external technical partners
Background in SaaS, fintech, healthtech, or data-driven platforms preferred
Experience building or scaling products from early-stage MVPs
Familiarity with tools such as Paperbell, Monday, Asana, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Flutter)
Experience hiring and managing small teams
High emotional intelligence and sound judgment under pressure
Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
