    Job Description

    NBCUniversal’s Data & Legal Solutions team operates as a central program operations group embedded across Ad Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Research, Technology, Data Privacy, Legal, and HR as trusted partners working together to implement strategic programs throughout the enterprise to effectively close gaps between central business and technology groups across a variety of projects. We work to provide relevant insights & structure across our diverse portfolio to power intelligent business decisions required to compete within today’s highly complex multi-platform & fragmented media landscape.

    The Product Manager, Data & Legal Solutions will support legal, privacy and compliance functions including the NBCU Privacy, Litigation & Compliance, Legal Operations, Employment & Labor Law, Rights IP, Legal Affairs groups.

    The Product Manager will be expected to understand best practices in Product Management with a focus on Privacy & Compliance Operations & Tools to assist in the delivery of the Product roadmap. The Privacy & Compliance regulatory environment is going through significant change, and this candidate is expected to maintain pulse on industry and technology trends to deliver tool configuration, adoption, improved user experience, simplified architecture, while ensuring a compliant and secure technology solution.

    The Product Manager will be a partner to multiple Business, Legal and Engineering teams building strong relations to meet on-time delivery of the roadmap while building and delivering on internal KPIs.

    The Product Manager will also own the delivery of new technology which includes product discovery, scope refinement, roadmap development and delivery, vendor selection and working with Engineering and Architecture peer groups. All other duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Product Management from an accredited institution or equivalent.
    • 5+ years of Product Management experience implementing On-Prem and/or SaaS solutions.
    • Expertise in the PDLC process, with a focus on requirements gathering and refinement, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, release management, testing and defect management, and issue resolution.
    • Expertise in translating business needs in to clear technical requirements.
    • Experience working with Privacy & Compliance applications, such as OneTrust.
    • Deep technical understanding to manage and solve complex technical issues.
    • Experience working with Engineering teams to deploy solutions using SFTPs, APIs, SQL, S3
    • Strong interpersonal skills exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities.
    • Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge.
    • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
    • Strong organization skills and detail-oriented with ability to manage own work as well as track the activities of others.
    • Ability to manage competing/conflicting requests to build consensus and manage stakeholder expectations.
    • Adherence & collaboration with NBCUniversal methodologies and change control processes.
    • Willingness to work off business hours, as needed, in a demanding environment.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience within the Media / Advertising industry.
    • Scrum Certification.
    • Familiarity and comfort in working with outsourced offshore resources.
    • Overcome obstacles and develop resolutions to complex problems.
    • Influence internal and external team members without direct reporting authority.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to relate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
    • Proven record of demonstrating self-initiative and working independently with little supervision.

    Remote Workers : This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
