    Job Description

    Who You’ll Work With

    The Product Materials Manager will be responsible for managing Arista’s product longevity by assessing risks early on, and acting on reducing those risks through a myriad of actions and activities. This role will interface with many parts of Arista’s organization, such as Finance, Sales, Marketing, Hardware and Software Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

    What You’ll Do

    • Manage last time buy and obsolete components and determine a transition plan in conjunction with stakeholders. This includes components that are on Arista’s switches, as well as direct to fulfillment items (optics, power supplies, etc)
    • Develop processes to determine risk on component availability on Arista products
    • Work with Sales / Marketing on strategy for product life cycle management at the product level
    • Develop last time buy plans and work with supply chain / finance to purchase soon to be obsolete materials
    • Regularly review obsolete material positions with Sales / Marketing to determine ‘time remaining’ on products using the materials
    • Identifying opportunities for redesigns with obsolete parts, manage the closure of implementation
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
    • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing and / or supply chain environment
    • Excellent analytical skills and experience in creating solutions and improving processes
    • Basic understanding of planning, operations, warehousing, order fulfillment, distribution, transportation
    • The ability to collaborate with multi-department team
    • Good written and oral communication skills
