    Job Description

    We’re looking for a Product Specialist to deliver industry-leading solutions for our users as we build the future platform for Titles & Metadata. These tools need to be designed to scale and integrate with various systems along the Content Supply Chain.

    We leverage deep relationships with our Business Engagement and Engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end to end solutions our clients love to use. These applications make content delivery more seamless while building the foundation of innovative products to come.

    To succeed in this role you'll need a love for the TV & Film business and appreciate the creative work that goes into creating our content.

    Responsibilities:

    Document business use cases and requirements that will in turn become product stories for our engineering teams.

    Collaborate with the Operations & Technology design team to build out workflows, user journeys and whiteboarding sessions that help showcase the larger picture

    Identify new forward-thinking functionality to meet new business needs or provide new business/integration opportunities

    Help collaborate on product requirement documents across a multi-disciplinary team to set forward a cohesive plan that takes all aspects into consideration

    Own Product stories end to end and work with the Product owner responsible for Product Development within the Titles & Metadata team

    Develop relationships with the various Services teams to determine inter-team dependencies, and work with Product Owners to mitigate risks

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Product Management, or equivalent experience required
    • Minimum 1+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
    • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
    • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
    • Be able to understand technical system diagrams and be able to discuss at a high-level with a less technical audience
    • Expertise in research, technical writing, and development of user stories
    • Expertise with CMS and or backend technology platforms

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Minimum 1+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, product testing, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
    • At least 2 years of direct client engagement experience
    • Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
    • Experience with Agile methodology
    • Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
    • Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative.

    Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
