    Rural Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Product Training Specialist to support our agents, underwriters, and claims teams across the organization. In this role, you will design and deliver high‑impact training programs, serve as a trusted product subject matter expert, and promote consistent understanding and application of Rural Mutual products in the field. You will collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Underwriting, Compliance, and Agency teams to ensure successful product implementation and ongoing market readiness. This position offers a dynamic blend of training facilitation, product expertise, and cross‑functional partnership. This is a hybrid role that requires regular travel to our Madison home office to conduct training sessions and support business needs. Responsibilities: • Design and deliver product training for agents, underwriters, and claims professionals. • Provide clear, practical guidance as a primary product resource for the agency force. • Maintain deep knowledge of RMIC policy forms, coverages, endorsements, and underwriting intent. • Monitor competitors' products and insurance industry trends to support training and product positioning. • Stay current on regulatory requirements that affect training and product updates. • Collaborate with Marketing and agency leadership to identify training needs and opportunities. • Contribute to product development by recommending enhancements and identifying product opportunities. • Assist with drafting, revising, and maintaining policy forms and product documentation. • Support product filings and ensure smooth rollout of product changes, including communication and training. • Participate in product and rate meetings to provide training and product insight. • Work cross-functionally to ensure consistent product implementation across teams. • Perform additional duties while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of Property & Casualty experience in underwriting, sales, claims, or product-related roles. • Strong ability to translate technical insurance concepts into clear, practical explanations. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with confidence training diverse groups. • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Business, or related field—or equivalent experience. • Demonstrated product knowledge orientation and attention to detail. • Experience delivering training, presentations, or facilitating learning sessions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. • Self-directed work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Strong customer-service mindset when supporting agents and internal partners. • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn new systems and tools. • Ability to communicate professionally in person, by phone, and in writing. • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and work at a computer in office or training settings. • Regular and reliable attendance. • Ability to travel regularly within Wisconsin to support training and business needs.Bonus: Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Hmong, etc.) and progress toward CPCU or similar industry designations. Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 yearly
