Reads each assembly procedure and assembles products based on technical drawings. Follows procedures to complete.
Ensures that parts are available to build project.
Documents the part needs to ensure that all staff know of shortage.
Ensures that project is complete timely for Quality Assurance and shipment.
Attaches breakers, relays, contactors, bus bars, transformers, insulators, circuit boards, keypads, power supplies, plugging devices, and fuse blocks to mounting holes with bolts and screws.
Cuts, strips, bends, and forms wire cable, conduit, pipe, and tubing used to connect circuits and subassemblies.
Connects color-coded wires, using mirrors in compact areas.
Solders connections and crimps connectors to wire ends.
Tests and adjusts electrical assemblies.
Each product must be tested, calibrated, and assured to be in complete and working order prior to shipment. By signing off on the QA (Quality and Assurance) report, you are personally assuring that the product is in good working order, that the product is complete, and the product has been completed within company standards, drawings, and compliance.
Red lines drawings to ensure accurate assembly for each product. Date and initial changes.
Ensures that documentation changes are clear and concise for CAD operator.
Discusses changes to ensure that the change will not interfere with product UL, TUV or other certification.
Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
Squares, aligns, and assembles bases, enclosure frames, or equipment structural components for milling. Ensures proper alignment.
Drills and taps holes in specified locations of enclosures for mounting control units.
Drills and taps holes in specified locations of back panels for mounting transformers, din rail for terminal blocks, etc.
Must be able to use hole saws, drills, and other power tools, tap and die, soldering iron and other equipment as required.
Must be computer literate.
Manage inventory – ensure stock levels are accurate and long lead items are ordered within timeframe required to maintain.
Shipping and Receiving
Accurately compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
Must be organized and pay attention to detail.
Assists with container assembly/construction as needed.
