    The Production Assistant (PA) provides operational support within the Production Department, primarily assisting machine operators in the manufacturing of costumes. This role is responsible for fabric handling, preparation, and organization, as well as maintaining quality standards and a clean work environment. The position requires adherence to company procedures, safety guidelines, and production schedules. Duties are not limited to those listed and may be expanded based on business needs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Assist machine operators with fabric layout on cutting machines to ensure proper alignment and workflow efficiency.

    Support cutting operations by preparing and positioning materials accurately.

    Pin and organize cut fabric pieces and sort them into appropriately labeled bags.

    Transfer and verify quantities, sizes, and sewing instructions as required for production continuity.

    Ensures quality of cut pieces and communicates any flaws or discrepancies with machine operator.

    Makes size labels for each garment

    Cuts accessories for projects including, elastic,

    Maintain accurate and organized production-related paperwork.

    Remove fabric remnants and dispose of waste materials following completion of cutting tasks.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.

    Perform end-of-shift cleaning duties, including trash removal and sweeping of assigned areas.

    Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily and weekly production targets.

    Perform Off-season Duties such as inventory of fabric, cutting, sorting, and packing drum covers and other additional duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

    Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

    Effective organizational and time-management skills.

    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.

    Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

    Ability to perform repetitive motions, including bending, reaching, and handling materials.

    Capability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

    Work Environment

    Work is performed in a production/manufacturing setting.

    Exposure to noise, machinery, and textile materials is expected.

    Compliance with all safety policies and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
