Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Plant Production Worker will manufacture finished products, document ingredients and weights, unload / load trucks, manage inventory rotation, and proper storage of raw and finished ingredients. Will work in a team to ensure production according to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing day-to-day manufacturing of liquid animal feed ingredients. Including following a formula, weighing, operating a forklift, documenting the process, and working in a team environment;
Accepting and unloading truckloads of raw ingredients, proper inspection of received goods, adequate storage, and documentation of received ingredients;
Maintain strict housekeeping of warehouse and production plant areas. Perform necessary facilities to ensure standards are met · Follow OSHA and company safety policies as well as Good Manufacturing Practices;
Perform general maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facilities;
Carry out basic quality assurance and testing checks;
Follow proper hygiene and personal protective equipment standards;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent;
Strong work ethics and organizational skills;
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
Mechanically inclined and can operate equipment;
Possess a valid U.S. driver's license and must be 18 years or older;
Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted, stand for several hours, climb ladders, and work in various temperature environments.
Preferred Skills
2+ years’ experience in production manufacturing, pumping, electrical or other trade professions;
Certified forklift operator;
OSHA 30-hour certification;
Computer skills – MS Office, emails, spreadsheets, iPad / iPhone;
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills;
Positive attitude and enthusiasm towards work.
