    Job Description

    We’re seeking a social media Production Assistant to join MSNBC Digital. You have a deep knowledge of all social media platforms and a passion for news. You're someone who can pitch and produce shareable content that enhances the MSNBC brand. This role also requires that you juggle multiple projects on a daily basis including research, graphic production and video gathering.

    This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and produce news content for social media platforms
    • Produce breaking news on social media platforms
    • Produce editorial content for multiple platforms (video, text, photo)
    • Pitch, produce and edit video content for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube shorts
    • Partner and collaborate with show producers on daily editorial content for platforms
    • Produce infographics for Instagram
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years experience in news production
    • Deep knowledge of all social media platforms
    • Proficiency in Avid / Adobe Premiere and social in-app editing tools
    • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours for breaking news

    Salary range: $29.08/ hr - $30.00/ hr.
