Position Summary
The Production Associate (Shipping/Fulfillment) supports the daily operations of manufacturing, shipping, and inventory control. This role is responsible for assembling and packaging products, fulfilling online orders using ShipStation, updating inventory, and occasionally assisting with customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring our products are prepared, packaged, and shipped with precision and care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Production & Fulfillment
- Fulfill daily customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Pack and ship orders using ShipStation, ensuring proper labeling and carrier selection.
- Fill and label XUM jars following standard operating procedures.
- Assemble and package finished goods in accordance with company quality standards.
- Prepare shipping materials and boxes to ensure safe and secure deliveries.
- Ensure USPS orders are ready for daily pickup between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Customer Service & Communication
- Handle occasional customer calls with professionalism and a helpful attitude.
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth order flow and issue resolution.
Inventory & Maintenance
- Maintain inventory accuracy through daily updates in systems or tracking tools.
- Perform weekly inventory counts and assist with stock organization.
- Notify supervisors of low stock levels, damaged items, or discrepancies.
- Keep the work area, equipment, and storage spaces clean, sanitized, and organized.
General
- Operate production equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
- Document production or shipping issues and communicate them promptly.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily production and fulfillment goals.
Schedule and Work Environment
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (includes a 30-minute lunch break)
- USPS picks up daily between 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Physical environment may require lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working around machinery.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with order fulfillment and shipping software (ShipStation) is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Comfortable with physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and repetitive motion.
- Effective communication and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with inventory tracking tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a production, fulfillment, or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with USPS shipping procedures.
- Forklift certification or warehouse equipment operation experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
