  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY: 

    Artist will be focused on the production and execution of motion design/animation projects. Successful candidates will have experience in lookdev, modeling, rigging, animating, lighting, rendering and some compositing. Candidates must be open minded, direct, positive, critical, constructive, agile and extremely creative. This is a full-time position where you would form part of the visual development team for our upcoming projects. Preferably LA based, acceptable PST ± 3 hours.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Designing and Animating Motion Graphics for a variety of large scale projects
    • Creating clips for events and media advertising such as: logo reveals, data reveal, motion typography, transitions, festival line-ups, showcases, etc.
    • Working hand in hand with Art Directors to develop visual directions, layouts, storyboards, animatics, styleframes, shaders, 2D/3D assets, etc.
    • Iterating animation concepts and approaches quickly 
    • Generating content and assets to be used by the extended CG team such as: animated textures, typography loops with alpha, AE templates, etc.

    MUST-HAVES: 

    • 5+ years' professional design and animation experience (or less experience with a strong portfolio)
    • Strong animation and design skill set in C4D (preferred), Blender or 3DS Max
    • A portfolio of work that conveys an ability to execute high-level work for a variety of content types
    • Experience in stylized rendering using Octane and/or Redshift
    • Proficient in After Effects and familiar with common plugins (Red Giant Trapcode and Universe suits, Videocopilot ones, Frischluft Lenscare, Mocha, RE:Vision SRMB or Twixtor) 
    • A solid comprehension of composition, color, design and overall sense of good or bad taste when it comes to creative content
    • Ability to work under pressure/tight turnarounds calmly
    • Extreme accountability
    • Love and passion for 3D and Motion Graphics

    NICE-TO-HAVES:

    • Local to Los Angeles area
    • Knowledge of scripting for Motion Graphics
    • Experience with tools such as Zbrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Houdini, Grease Pencil
    • Basic understanding of musical theory and musical timing
    • Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom
    • Knowledge of Nuke or similar
    • Knowledge of Unreal Engine or Unity focused on motion graphics 
    • Knowledge of Xparticles
