If you enjoy solving problems, coordinating multiple priorities, and working with different departments to keep production on schedule, we’d love to hear from you!

    What You’ll Do

    Production Planning

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity

Review customer orders, engineering releases, and material availability to create achievable production plans

Prioritize work orders to meet customer delivery dates while maximizing equipment and labor utilization

Balance workloads across fabrication, machining, welding, finishing, assembly, and shipping

Work closely with production teams to keep schedules organized and achievable

    Production Control

Monitor production progress and make scheduling adjustments when delays, equipment downtime, engineering changes, or material shortages occur

Track work orders throughout the manufacturing process to support on-time completion

Partner with supervisors to identify and resolve production bottlenecks

    Maintain accurate production status information

Clearly communicate schedule changes and production priorities to appropriate departments

    Material & Inventory Coordination

Work closely with Purchasing to ensure raw materials, hardware, and outside processing services are available when needed

Monitor critical inventory levels and identify potential shortages before they impact production

Coordinate outside services such as powder coating, plating, painting, laser cutting, and specialty machining

Help ensure materials are available to support scheduled production

    Customer Delivery & Shipping

Help ensure customer delivery commitments are met

Communicate realistic production and delivery timelines to Sales and Customer Service

Assist with expediting high-priority orders when necessary

Coordinate shipping schedules with final production completion

Help keep teams informed of potential delays or changes that could impact customers

    Continuous Improvement

Review production data to identify opportunities to improve scheduling, throughput, and resource utilization

Help reduce lead times and improve overall manufacturing workflow

Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures related to production planning and control

    Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate ERP/MRP information, including work orders, routings, schedules, and due dates

Prepare and maintain reports related to production performance, on-time delivery, work-in-process (WIP), and capacity utilization

Ensure production documentation remains accurate and up to date throughout the manufacturing process

    What We’re Looking For

3–5 years of production planning, production control, or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred

Experience in custom sheet metal fabrication is highly preferred

Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, machining, finishing, and assembly

    Experience working with ERP/MRP systems

Comfortable working in both office and shop-floor environments

Ability to work around occasional noise, dust, and manufacturing equipment

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of production schedules and priorities.

You’ll be successful in this role if you can see the big picture while still paying attention to the details. You should enjoy working with different departments, anticipating potential challenges, and finding solutions that keep production moving safely and efficiently.
