    Production Planner

    Location: Lafayette, IN
    Pay: $65,000–$75,000/year
    Shift: 1st Shift

    We are seeking a Production Planner to support manufacturing operations by coordinating materials, inventory, purchasing, and supplier communication. This role plays a key part in ensuring production runs efficiently by maintaining proper inventory levels and supporting on-time delivery of materials.

    The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing planning, scheduling, inventory, or supply chain experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and manage purchase orders
    • Monitor inventory levels and material availability
    • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers
    • Support production schedules and manufacturing demands
    • Track inventory and production data within ERP/MRP systems
    • Troubleshoot supply chain and material shortages
    • Communicate with production and operations teams
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives

    Qualifications

    • Manufacturing, planning, or supply chain experience required
    • Experience with ERP or MRP systems preferred
    • Strong Excel and computer skills
    • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
