The Production Coordinator supports all production technology at Preston Trail through installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and system documentation. This role also provides training for production volunteers and may operate equipment for ministry events when needed.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Production Coordinator will regularly mix audio for services and support Sunday and mid‑week ministry environments as needed. The position also manages gear flow, equipment inventory, and the asset‑tracking system. The Production Team works collaboratively across all venues, and this role requires strong communication, adaptability, and attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of AVL or related technical experience

Ability to lead and care for volunteers
Strong troubleshooting ability across AVL systems
Understanding of private networking for signal/data transport
Proficiency with ProPresenter
Working knowledge of Windows/MacOS systems and hardware
Basic understanding of audio (DiGiCo, AVID, Dante, MADI), video (SMPTE 2110, SDI, Ross, Grass Valley), and lighting systems (Art‑Net, DMX, Vista)
Ability to terminate CAT, SDI, XLR, and DMX cabling
Comfortable using power tools, ladders, aerial lifts, and test equipment
Ability to multitask, self‑manage, and communicate effectively with staff and guests

WEEKLY DUTIES:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot AVL and computer systems
Mix audio for services as needed
Operate audio, video, and lighting equipment when required
Assist with IT tasks
Create system documentation and best practices
Manage asset tracking
Train volunteers on production systems
Attend all required meetings
Continue developing skills in live production
Be on‑site Sundays to support weekend services
