Position Summary
The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating key aspects of operations, logistics, customer support, and administrative functions within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures production schedules are maintained, customer orders are fulfilled on time, and communication flows efficiently across departments.
Follow all safety regulations and complete required safety training
Create, maintain, and distribute production schedules to meet delivery timelines and forecasted demand
Develop and prioritize schedules, including special product requirements (e.g., input materials)
Determine component requirement dates and communicate needs to leadership
Prepare and issue weekly production worksheets, production cards, late order reports, and daily status reports
Collaborate with operations to maintain schedule accuracy, quality standards, and on-time delivery
Communicate delivery timelines to sales, customers, and internal teams
Conduct weekly inventory analysis to support production planning
Monitor machine capacity changes and labor constraints
Participate in daily manufacturing meetings to provide updates and address concerns
Identify and resolve production obstacles impacting timelines or quality
Maintain accurate documentation and production logs
Coordinate purchasing of raw materials, office supplies, and operational goods as needed
Schedule inbound and outbound trucking and coordinate dock activity with shipping/receiving
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Support other departments and perform additional duties as assigned
Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and compliance
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or ERP systems preferred
Ability to analyze inventory and production data
Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Regular standing, walking, reaching, handling, and fingering
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor conditions, noise, fumes, or industrial environments
Must be able to wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc.)
Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus required
