    We are seeking a Quality Technician at our speciality metals manufacturing company. This employee’s work schedule will split equally to aid in finished manufacturing and quality control. Routine tasks will fall into the processes of basic operations, respooling finished wire, final product inspection, quality control and ISO:9001 activities.

    Responsibility Overview:

    Employee will immediately help with the backlog of quality activities (document control, internal calibrations, weigh-pickle-weigh inspections, and process audits).

    Basic formvar and finished wire respooling. Final product inspections. Raw material inspections. Internal calibrations. Process audits. Filing paperwork. Data entry. Data analysis. Inventory. Root cause analysis. Statistical and historical trend analysis. Review/Editing/Writing procedures. Continuous improvement projects.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Previous work in metal shop environment is a plus.

    • Quality inspection in any capacity.

    • Ability to interpret specifications, tolerances, and historical data.

    • Familiarity with measuring devices (micrometer, caliper, microscope, tape measure, scales, etc.).

    • Strong writing skills (reports, investigations, procedures).

    • Above average proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    • Minimum understanding of ISO:9001.

    • Audit Process.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High School graduate or equivalent.

    • Read and write English fluently.

    • Strong math skills (decimals, fractions, standard, metric, etc.).

    • Common computer skills.

    • Ability to lift 50-60lbs occasionally, 20-30lbs frequently.

    • Expect to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the day.

    • 50% desk work, 50% on foot.

    • Working with small parts and precision tools.

    • Hours of computer screen time may be expected.
