    Job Title: Floater

    Classification: Non-Exempt

    Reports to: Production Supervisor

    Description

    Assists the Production Supervisor in giving direction and oversight to team members

    working in the production area or filling in as a position replacement. Helps facilitate the

    training of production new hires to perform to company standards.

    Has the ability to motivate team members and ensure efficient operations by troubleshooting

    bottlenecks and working side by side with team members through the processes. The

    Floater should be trained to perform multiple positions in the production room to standard.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.

    Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

    Ability to handle the physical requirements of sitting, walking, bending, squatting, climbing and

    twisting on an intermittent or continuous basis

    Utilize all employees efficiently and effectively to achieve production quotas

    Develops staff by engaging employees, orienting new hires, and training to company policy and

    procedures

    Rotate and cross train employees in order that they may be able to do several jobs as

    necessary

    Monitors performance through the use of employee attainment recordkeeping

    High energy level, strong leadership skills, independent thinker

    Maintains clean work environment

    Teach, train and coach team members to standard

    Ensure all merchandise is priced according to standards

    Oversight and quality control is maintained for items going to both sales floor and export

    Education, Experience, Training Required:

    High School Diploma or GED preferred

    2-5 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably with a big box chain.

    Consumer retail or thrift businesses preferred
