This team handles custom color work, refinishing, and rework with precision and care.

Position Overview

We’re hiring a hands-on, emotionally intelligent Finishing Supervisor to lead one of our fastest-growing departments. This role oversees a team responsible for custom color finishes, rework, and quality touch-ups across a dynamic production floor. You’ll manage workflow, maintain high-quality standards, and build a strong, accountable team culture. Must bring strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead under pressure—finishing experience is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of finishing technicians and rework specialists
• Oversee custom color, refinishing, and touch-up work on the production floor
• Maintain quality and safety standards across all finishing activities
• Proactively address workflow issues and minimize production delays
• Collaborate with Planning and QC to align rework/custom orders with overall production
• Ensure clear communication, daily direction, and accountability across shifts
• Drive a respectful, high-performing, and solutions-focused team culture
• Support cross-training and onboarding for new and existing employees
• Suggest and implement process improvements and productivity enhancements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing setting
• Finishing or wood product experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong emotional intelligence, communication, and people leadership
• Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills
• Able to lead a department in a high-pressure environment with shifting needs
• Highly organized, reliable, and results-driven
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
