    Position Overview: The Production Manager (PM) is responsible for recruiting, training and managing the production resources for the company, which include approximately 100 painters and the completion of over 500 projects annually. Success is measured by Jobs Completed (Revenue), Gross Margin (Profitability), Painter Recruiting and Retention, and overall Customer Satisfaction measured through a Net Promoter Score Rating. The PM must represent the CertaPro brand in a manner that distinguishes us from our local competition as CertaPro “Delivers Extraordinary Experiences” and ensures that our customer’s needs and expectations are met or exceeded. These goals are accomplished through direct customer interaction but also indirectly through effective painter/project management.

    Please be aware that this position is NOT available as a remote position.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Production Management – 40%

    Land Off with Sales Associate and Production Scheduler to understand the job scope

    Hand Off with painters to ensure they understand the job scope

    Support painters throughout production process

    Daily Updates with painters through TEAMS to maintain job status awareness

    Daily Updates to staff with job status

    Jobsite visits

    Review job margins upon completion

    Customer Communication – 10%

    Contact customer with firm start, crew assignment and other logistics

    Update customer on schedule changes

    Respond to customer questions, concerns and changes

    Painter Recruiting, Orientation & Training – 20%

    Manage/conduct weekly recruiting activities for new painters

    Orient new painters on Certainty Service System and other CertaPro processes and procedures

    Ongoing training and coaching of painters to promote CSS and CertaPro processes and procedures

    Conduct monthly production meetings

    Quality Assurance – 20%

    Ensure that painters are using best practices for the assigned tasks

    First 10 Minutes

    Jobsite visits within 48-hours of start for all jobs lasting longer than 1-day

    Audits of Pride Walk with JSS

    Safety & Environmental – 5%

    Review safety requirements with painters during Hand Off

    Ensure that EPA RRP Lead Safe practices and procedures

    Monthly safety topic communication to painters

    Promote a 100% accident-free workplace for staff, painters and customers

    Warranty/Callback Management – 5%

    Manage all warranty/callback requests

    Communicate response plan with customer within 24-hrs

    Ensure that warranty or callback gets addressed within 1-week of notification (or otherwise agreed with customer)

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

    Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with painters and customers.

    Strong organization skills, with the ability to plan and schedule production resources for complex and rapidly changing schedules.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks in a coordinated and strategic manner, meeting both long-term and short-term schedule requirements.

    Strong customer management skills.

    Ability to work independently and be self-directed while simultaneously collaborating with the CertaPro Team.
