    Position Summary

    We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and oversee the Assembly Department. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing production activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in mechanical assembly, and a passion for continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily production operations, including machining, fabrication, and assembly of hole cutting tools and mag drill components
    • Lead and manage the Assembly Department, ensuring efficient workflow, quality standards, and safety compliance
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines
    • Monitor KPIs such as throughput, yield, downtime, and labor efficiency; drive corrective actions as needed
    • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve product design for manufacturability
    • Train, mentor, and supervise production and assembly staff; foster a culture of accountability and teamwork
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies; promote a clean and organized work environment
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing, 5S, and root cause analysis

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in production management, preferably in metalworking or industrial tool manufacturing
    • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes and component integration
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning tools, and Microsoft Office
    • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control systems
    • Degree in the following fields:
      • Operations Management
      • Supply Chain Management
      • Manufacturing Engineering
    • equivalent Manufacturing experience considered
