SUMMARY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager in Wagram, North Carolina with a global paper manufacturing company. This role will lead the daily operations of the converting department, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. The selected candidate will oversee scheduling, workflow, and resources to ensure production goals are met efficiently while also developing team members and driving operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the converting team while fostering a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily converting operations, including scheduling, workflow optimization, and resource allocation to meet production targets.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications through effective inspection and quality control processes.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for improved efficiency, waste reduction, and cost savings.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and KPIs, to senior leadership.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team capability and performance.
- Drive the strategic plan through the implementation of lean manufacturing best practices, tools, and methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proven servant leadership mindset with experience building, developing, and engaging teams in manufacturing.
- Strong collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of SAP and/or ERP systems.
