    As Production Manager, you will oversee the entire construction process and team for a company that self performs approximately 75% of the construction. You run the show once a job is sold— supporting the Project Managers to line out crews, solve problems, keep schedules and budgets tight, and make sure the finished product is something to be proud of.

    Production Manager - Job Duties:

    You will be responsible for all aspects of production for repair and renovation construction and roofing projects, from the initial handoff from sales & estimating through the finalization and quality control of the crews work, as well as oversight of the project budgets and financial performance.

    You will:

    • Directly oversee the construction project managers including their performance and career development, as well as quality control of their work and construction budgets
    • Indirectly oversee the entire field construction team, currently around 50.
    • Oversee all of the construction projects, ensuring that each project is on time and on budget including preparing and submitting budget updates and progress reports
    • Serve as escalation point for any disputes that may arise
    • Attend site meetings with the team and customers
    • Oversee Safety program alongside the Company’s third party safety company, ensuring daily safety standards are followed and the crew comes home safe every day
    • Facilitate communication and job progress between field and office team members
    • Investigate damages, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out, identifying any corrective actions or overall process improvements
    • Keep frequent communication between customers, Operations Manager, and Estimator on progress, potential changes, cost and budget, and overall project status.
    • Take actions to manage changes that are a result of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site
    • Review and make recommendations regarding production policies and procedures, with an eye towards efficiency and quality control

    Plan to work 25% in the office and 75% out in the field and on the job sites, traveling throughout the San Jose area (no overnight travel).

    Production Manager – Required Experience, Skills and Fit

    You have:

    • Prior experience in a construction role as a Superintendent or related, overseeing construction field operations (emphasis on exterior projects)
    • Knowledge of construction codes (preferred knowledge of waterproofing systems, structural and exterior construction, and roofing), reading blue prints and plans
    • Prior experience working in the field in a hands-on role including overseeing a field team and quality control of field team work
    • Experience with job budgeting and cost projections / monitoring project budgets
    • Comfort and enjoyment with leading a crew including leading safety initiatives, motivating the team and performance conversations, when needed
    • Proficiency with computer software programs including, MS Project, MS Excel, and Office Suite
    • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record / ability to drive a company vehicle
    • Ability to lift a ladder and safely climb a ladder to inspect construction work

    Production Manager – Benefits for You

    You will be provided with a company vehicle, comprehensive medical benefits with company contribution for your insurance premium, paid time off and paid sick time, paid holidays, 401k with company profit share, and additional incentives.

    Your compensation will be a base salary of $180,000 - $200,000, plus incentive pay based upon production financial performance. On target earnings will be around $250,000.
